Spring Block Party
It is hard to believe, but we are starting our 19th season at Bayberry Inn. We accepted our first guests on Memorial Day weekend, 2001. Our first weekend for the season is May 3rd and 4th which happens to be the weekend of the Spring Block Party. If you have never been to one of the block parties (there is a spring and a fall), it is a great experience. Asbury Avenue is closed between 5th Street and 14th Street and over 350 crafters as well as many food vendors are set up on the street. The Boardwalk and Downtown Merchants also have sale tables on both Saturday and Sunday. On Sunday help to end Multiple Sclerosis by participating in Walk MS. It would be a great time to book a room with us; at this time, we have four rooms remaining.
Memorial Day weekend is the start of the summer season in Ocean City. The town feels alive and all of the stores on the boardwalk are open. Everyone is stocked and ready for a great weekend. After a long winter, spring is a great time to visit and maybe even lie on the beach or take a dip in the ocean. Even if that is not your choice, you can walk on the beach or boardwalk, rent bikes and ride around town or take your first ride of the season on the Ferris wheel. Maybe just relax and get a slice of Manco and Manco pizza.
